i want to get a chevy 1500 Z71 with a 350. i was wondering what they're rated at and how quick these trucks are(1/4 mile time?). also, what gas milage do they get?

What year is the truck? Auto or Manual trans? Is it pre-VORTEC or newer than 1995 (VORTEC introduced)? Gas milage and 1/4 mile times will differ with these trucks, so specs like those stated above are needed to verify info previously reported.

My dad has a '93 1500 Short bed, short box. It has 210hp like stated and gets around 18mpg driving easy. It has been bullet proof and always runs great but is no speed demon. If I had to guess I would say that is around 17 sec 1/4mi.

Really? I heard 255hp, torque # is the same. Are those numbers for the Tonawanda 7.4L?

The 96 -98 have the vortecs and they came with 255hp and 330tq.
