I hear people here starting their brand new Trailblazer with a few touches of the remote key fob, anyone here know about this. Thanks

It seems stupid that the factory hasn't added this option already. It seems like a no brainer, especially with the complicated BCM in these new GM's, that basically the hardware is already in place when you have factory remote and alarm.

You can add on an aftermarket remote starter that gets "triggered" by the factory keyless entry remote. Basically, they tie it into the electric door locks, and when the lock is triggered 3 times, the remote starter is activated. Our 99 Dodge Ram is setup this way. Talk to your local alarm installers to see what they can do for you. It is worth it! You can get one of these basic systems installed usually for a few hundred bucks.

On our new 04 Yukon, we are getting a Valet 554R installed next week. Valet 554R

It is a full blown alarm and remote start system, with a 2 way pager. It is really a slick system. It is $500 installed, plus an additional $50 for the GM databus interface module, and $50 for the GM Passlock interface module.
