From linked Ed: “If the existing assault-weapons ban expires, I personally do not believe it will make one whit of difference one way or another in terms of our objective, which is reducing death and injury and getting a particularly lethal class of firearms off the streets. So if it doesn’t pass, it doesn’t pass.”

Ummm, duh. That's a helluva revelation seeing as how it mostly affects cosmetic features and the last time I checked, things like that won't kill people.

I really can't stand these hardcore anti's because all they ever do is try and put blame on anything except for what actually caused the problem.A gun can not pick its self up and start firing so hold the moron who commits a gun crime responsible for their actions and prosecute them to the fullest extent.

More gun laws definately won't do a great deal of good. I know of someone who was shot in the head, and guess what, the guy got the gun illegaly. Not a big suprise. Would gun laws have stopped him? Nope.

Gun control means using both hands!

People are going to carry wether its legal or not. Thats the honest truth! Kansas came somewhat close to allowing concealed carry. But shot down by the so called "governor" of Kansas.

Swhat I'm saying! lol

No but look at the statistics, it proves gun control does nothing. My dad's dodge has an anti-gun control sticker on the gate, and whenever I go thru a small yuppie part of town I always get frowns.

I feel that way about most things like this....gun control, environmentalism, etc....except I feel that way about both sides usually. But alot of them figure both sides want something, if they go extreme and then except less they are actually winning more than they would if they started softer. In theory this makes sense, but the problem is that it often times leads to too many stalemates and alot of mudslinging instead of accomplishing anything at all.

I was reading about the new gun control law in Australia. The govt banned gun ownership and spent millions buying guns from the law abidding citizens. Instead of the desired results crime has ballooned especially violent crimes. The liberal politicians cant figure it out. its easy now only the criminals have guns and dont have worry about being shot buy armed citizens. Armed citizens keep the criminals in check

Before you take this article to heart....Check the news agency...Fox is not only right leaning, they are frequently inflammatory, and flat out wrong.

:flag: Gun control is pretty much a retarded approach to fixing crime though.

I had to sell my HK 91 .308 a few years back (wasn't registered, and wasn't going to be)....Only upshot of that was, I got more than 4 times what I paid for it.

The information came from the Blue Knights (Police MC organization). The infromation came from an afilate group in Australia. which retrieved the official crime statistics. There have been studies showing that places with high gun ownership have lower crime rates invovling violent crimes.

Of all the legislation due, this is the one to hype up in air time. Remind the world and it's terror-orgs that America is armed and will not take it. It won't stop a suicide bomber with a "dead-man" release trigger, but a more vigilante atomsphere sure would give some "cells" a second thought of trying to blend in as Joe American. While the Kalashnikov AK47 is the can beat all when abused weapon (I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up if it were a soul survival environment), a Joe American group all with AK's would look kinda suspicuos.

    • Still looks like a rivet to me in the pics, I don't see a nut and none of the pics show the head of the screw. But if you says so.....
    • Thanks for all the help so far!   I did try right from 2026 right down to 2021, and only from 2023 down lets me select the option for tire psi change, but I get the vehicle not supported error!   I'll definitely try it under Chevrolet after work today, and I'll get the sensor number from gm for my truck tire sensors. And I'll let you know if it works for me under Chevrolet!   And if that doesn't work, I'm going to guess that what @Atlas said about maybe I have a different body control module could be true!
    • From where I'm sitting this sounds like a compatibility problem. I'm assuming the 2007 was a 900-series truck, and not an 800-series (they were sold side-by-side in dealerships that model year), since it starts and runs.   This is why I HATE post-2006 vehicles. Everything becomes a huge problem when you try to keep the thing running for longer than the manufacturer has designed it to.    I can't remember when Global-A architecture started - either '10 or '11. For your sake, you had better hope it's '11, or you're going to be spending some BIG money to correct this cluster-eff. That's something you need to find out before doing anything else. You may have several computers bricked ... but the fact that it runs tells me you MIGHT be ok here.     EDIT: Just did a quick refresher. You're screwed. This is Global-A. The 2 systems are NOT compatible in the slightest. Once you get the correct engine in there that IS compatible, you're going to need to see how many computers are locked. Absolute NIGHTMARE to straighten out, too. Your buddy might be better off cutting his losses and finding something else.   Welcome to post-2006 vehicle electronics. This is why I quit the industry, and drive nothing built after 1994. This stuff takes all the fun out of wrenching!

    • True, hard to say what differences there may or may not be between Chev and GM as well as a production year or mid year part change either.    I just found it odd that under the Sierra choice on the Autel that many of the last few years of production year did not include the choice of changing the tire pressure but if that is an Autel thing or a GM thing as to why the choices were not there. Knowing what tpms sensors are on the truck should give some guidance into which choices on the tool even make sense to try as I wouldn't give up just yet with the tool but I guess he will see what if anything he comes up with if he finds out a bit more info and tries a few more things on the Autel.
