Are they crazy? The job's not complete and they destroyed a house. They better have good insurance!

Yeah, they wouldn't be getting a penny from me if they cut my house in two!

This is why companies have insurance. It will get fixed and they will also be paid. They will be paid for the work they have completed. That is the law and can't be changed. I've seen where companies have burned up some houses trying to get ice off the roof using a blow torch. They still got payed, but their insurance paid more.

If the contractor in the first place would not have put the houses so close together this wouldn't have happened.

That's what happens when developers take over the land. The suburbs of Atlanta keep growing at an uncontroled rate, because of the mega neighborhoods.

Just goe's to show how stupid reporters are cranes don't have arms it's called the boom, and I highly doubt that the tree service owned it(cheap ones are close to 500 grand).

More than likely, they (the tree service)rented one from a crane rental company and they are the ones responsible for the damage, not the tree sevice.

We carry over a million dollars of hook insurance at work, and tree removal is one of the most deadly jobs as a crane operater,it is very difficult to properly estimate the weight of a living tree.

90% of all crane accidents are from operator error, out of those 75% are fatal.

Goes to show better know what it weighs, and what your good for in your configuration before you get up on it. :troll:

Yeah, d**n yuppies are making a mess. They break building codes a fair amount around here building HUGE houses on tiny lots. Then they drink all the water in the summer and everyone cuts back...except the yuppies who use more.
