Remembering Reagan

Just happened to catch the news on CNN.com. I didn't know that his health had deteriorated Friday. Being a child of the 80's, I'm a bit biased, but I've always said it's the best decade this country has ever had...well at least in my lifetime. It's likely because back then my worries were so minimal...and we had a feeling of security that has now been lost. Ronald Reagan came across often like a grandfatherly figure, rich in wisdom and eager to provide guidance. Well respected and deeply missed :puke::smash:

The best president we have had. After carter he restored our belief in ourselves and gave us confidence to do whatever we wanted. He gave us respect throughout the world. :puke::smash::lol::lol:

Yeah even though I was pretty little when he was president, from what I understand, even the democrats liked him. That's the way a president should be. He was great for the country :troll::bs:

God Bless a true American hero and one of the greatest, if not the best President that America has ever seen. Rest in Peace. :troll:

Meet the Press just played a bit of his speech after the Challenger disaster...5th grade at that time. It definitely takes you back. The writing and communication skills were just awesome.

He really died years ago as his marbles have long been gone. His death brought a final peace for him. As far as best president, not likely. He took office on the pledge to reduce the nations debt and increased it from a few hundred billion to over 2 trillion and laid ground work the futures massive debts. Bush JR is nor better at this either as he charges it and waits for someone else to pay for it too.

Yes he was one of the greatest, look at what he inherited from Carter, He was such a great communicator and visionary,we were on the brink of falling down the ladder defense wise til he got us back on track which ultimately caused the end of the cold war....It's a sad day......Snoman your an asssssssholiooooooooo! It seems that you never have anything positive or constructive to add to this forum. Now your gonna bash one of the greatest leaders this nation has ever had.....Please go away!

Yes, I agree, Regan was a good President. I am English and I remember the excellent relationship that Ronald Regan had with Margeret Thatcher the Prime Minister of Great Britain, I don't think the US and Britain has ever been so close and achieved so much together as during their time. :troll:

I hope a national day of mourning is announced for this great man, he needs to be remembered.

Do you know that Regan was your longest living President!!!

That tends to happen when you have a house and senate who continue to increase spending while taxes are being cut so don't for one minute think that Reagan was solely responsible for it.

He was definitely one of the best,if not the #1 president of the 20th century and I'll entertain arguments.I'll make sure to bring facts if anyone should care to debate.
