Tornado Air/Gas system

Don't take this the wrong way, but Use your brain dude. Why would you want to install a cut up soda can inside your intake path???? if something breaks on it, say bye-bye to your engine. Thats 40 bux that can be put to something alot more worthwhile.

Like my dad said, why put something into the intake path that basically blocks air? It's supposed to cause a "tornado affect", yes, but holy crap.

Worse one I've seen, some guy w/ an accord testified he got 4 mpg better along the interstate :flag: WOW THATS GOOOOD!!! :flag::troll::bs::flag:

Scam. It seems to me anyway that any "tornado effect" would be canceled out by the intake manifold. Plus with the vortec engine the intake manifold itself causes vortices in the incoming air. I wouldn't waste the money.

hi5! That is my comment exactly!

I would see no benefit from using something like this on a Vortec Engine

Actually, the best course is to wait for the new, improved version that is soon to be released.

Hand crafted in Mongolia by laid-off horse meat tasters, it is made of highly compressed yak hair which, it is claimed, increases the "vortex" effect to a force more than three times that of your average South Pacific typhoon.

Independent, outside testing also proves that super-secret, micro-fine particles in the yak hair actually infuse deep into the metal of the engine's cylinder heads, giving them special combustion qualities that increase horse power by between .00000000000001%, up to almost .000000000006%. A considerable benefit if you find yourself at the stoplight next to a new Dodge "hemi" just when the light turns green !!

(The "independent, outside testing" is done by the brother-in-law of the inventor. Since he isn't a near blood relative of the guy who developed the concept, that qualifies as "independent." Also, the testing is done just "outside" the yurt where the yak hair is pounded into shape, while secret, semi-mystical incantations handed down from generation to generation ever since the time of the Great Khan are chanted in low, moaning sounds.)

Of course, the excited "buzz" in the professional world of after-market enthusiasts concerning the soon-to-be-released, new and improved version, is all about the amazing, jaw-dropping improvements in gasoline mileage. Independent, outside testing proves that, AT A MINIMUM, you will see efficiency increases of at least .00000164839792 mpg. Guaranteed !! The manufacturer stands behind his product !! Waaaaaaay behind his product !!!!! This is an important consideration as gasoline prices continue to rise !!

And need we mention the obvious benefit for large fleets of vehicles, such as utility companies, parcel delivery services, and the huge numbers in every town in America of relatively-uneducated-twenty-something-year-old-young-men-who-are-trying-to-make-a-go-of-it-by-doing-odd-jobs-and-yard-work-because-the-mill-where-their-dads-and-granddads-used-to-work-has-shut-down-and-moved-to . . . . Mongolia ! ?

No?

Oh, ok, then we won't.

Further establishing the credibility of this exciting, soon to be released, new and improved version is that the recently revived Yugo Automobile Manufacturing Company has selected the product for exclusive use in its upcoming line of innovative, five-wheel trucks (two in back, three in front). The fact that the Yugo engineers specified that the product be rammed up the tail pipe should NOT be taken as evidence that it might fail to perform up to expectations. Rather, it constitutes clear proof of its amazing versatility !!

But enough with the objective, factual, scientific data. You want to know where to buy it !

At least the price has come down from $70 to $40. Now you only get screwed out of $40.

Rather than wasting your money on this worthless piece of crap....just send $40 to me and I will spend it on a worthwhile mod for MY truck. At least that way only one of us is getting screwed.

I think gnutruk might be on to something here when he said:

Think about this seriously for a moment if you will.

If the car community can be talked into buying a huge Chrome tailpipe fart muffler, and convince them that it gives them like 30HP just because it has a 5" diameter opening after the muffler, and they are willing to spend $400 on it, then why can't we convince them that buying one of these for $40 and shoving it up their tailpipe will give them 100HP? To me it seems they would jump at the chance.

$400 for 30HP = $13.33 per HP

$40 for 100HP = $ 0.40 per HP? WOW!!!!!!! 40CENTS per Pony!

Think about it! We could make Millions!!!!

Cheers...

Along the same lines, I could buy a giant tornado and replace my radiator fan with it to keep my engine cooler

Then I could buy several really small torano units and put one inside each air vent to increase the effciancy of the a/c unit.

Ooh! and then I could put on right in front of the muffler because everyone knows that vortex'd air sound better.
