The dodge is about ready to go. Hell, it's gotten so bad that when it reaches operating temp, it actually slows down when it hits 3,000 rpm's.

We sold one of the bikes Friday, but that $$$ is going towards another Ducati, the Harley's still for sale, but we've had some bites, and there's some bites on our old Ducati, so pops was shoppin online the other day.

The Duramax is just way too much for him he said, andhe refuses to buy used. He wants a diesel prefferebly for towing, 3/4 ton at least. So he's looking at the Ford F250 Crew Cab w/ the 6.0 5 spd auto. I'm not much of a Ford guy, but I have to say those Cat motors seem to be pretty much bullet proof, and I love the look of the Super Duty's. FX4 package is a tad more than 2WD of course, but it'd be nice for hunting. We talked to a guy at Ford on Saturday mornign again, he said he can get us an 04 Crew Cab XLT w/ the 6 liter, 2wd w/ everything else for around mid 30's off the lot. That's one hell of a price overall, and one of our tenants is actually the top salesman at one of the other local Dord dealers, maybe we could work something out with like a month or two free rent to lower the price :flag:

I'm just anxious as hell to get a new truck. My dad talks about spending like 8-9k to get everything under the hood replaced, new shocks, bed, etc. Why not spend that for a down payment?

Well, overall even though I'd have to say I'd like another Bowtie, I'd be happy as hell with a Ford. Our friends F350 is roomy and has tons of power. We'll be looking more after we get one of the other bikes sold.

Sorry it ain't going to be another :bs: guys... :troll:

the 6.0 diesel is a powerstroke not a CAT

And the Powerstroke is an International engine, but close enough. :troll:

I hope you get the Ford. There needs to be more Ford people here.

Right now there is...

me (Pacodiablo)

Hillhound

Rhilton

Stepside Z (though he seems to have dissappeared)

Sorry if I missed any other Ford people.

I'd stay away from the 6.0 L Powerstroke this year. A buddy at work bought a F350 with one and regrets it. It spent the first 3 weeks in the shop because it wouldn't start and has been back in the shop monthly since winter - each time with various engine problems.

Get a Ford, change your little signature now, and quit bugging me about why I should drive a chevrolet.

On another note greg, everyone gets a lemon every now and then, or it may just be someone talking like it's nothing but trash... It's the "Big Three" propaganda that dodge, ford, and chevy owners have been known to toss out. Come on, look how offended a dodge owner gets when your talk about his hemi. :troll:

The powerstrokes are quite a wonder, and I'm extremely surprised we don't have one yet! Maybe soon.

Ah, my mistake. Thought ford ran a Cat motor :troll:

Yeah, I heard about problems with the 03 Powerstrokes but so far, 04's seem to be fine. A buddy of ours is a diesel Mech., he just bought an Excursion w/ the 6 liter, said it's got plenty of power. And Rhilton, we're keeping the Chevy for christs sake, just gettin rid of our p.o.s dodge. I'd love to get a D/A, but pops won't buy exspencive or new :bs:

StepsideZ hasn't disappeared. He is out to sea right now on an aircraft carrier. :troll: That is why he hasn't been around.

I did not know that. Kinda wondered where he was at lately. Be safe Stepside, in case you're looking in on things here from somwhere out on the open ocean! :bs:

Hey, it's fun being a Ford guy on a GM site. Nice to aggravate everybody every now & then. I still have a Chevy though, just never get to drive it 'cause it's her's! :flag:

I agree, I always thought the 7.3 was bulletproof. You don't need 300 hp. with a diesel, YOU NEED TORQUE!!!

Well my dad went down to pick up the new bike today (I think), on his way back he might stop by Ford and see what's up.
