How to replace Heater Core?

My heater core is leaking inside (96' K1500). Can someone tell my what the best way to replace this? I have not opened up the dash on this year of truck yet! I am hoping someone here has first hand experience! Will I have to discharge the A/C? Where is the best place to get a replacement heater core?

The heater core will come out without having to disconnect the evap core. All you have to do is remove the cover on the bottom of the heater box and disconnect the heater hoses outside the firewall.
