Speaker buzz with throttle on new deck

I just had a Pioneer AVIC-N1 NAv system, XM, rear view Camera, 12 disc changer installed, I get a buzz from the speakers, more throttle, louder the buzz. My installer says he will take care of it, but is a little stumped as it is using all factory grounds, wiring, amps and speakers + new access. He has done many installs on similar GM models and hasn't run into this. I picked it up at 7 pm and had to run so I didn't even give him a chance to diagnose it yet. He says he will talk to Pioneer and GM techs.

 

Anyways, just thought I'd check and see if anyone here has run into this at all before I drop it back off to him on Monday.

You will have to install an inline noise suppressor. Your buzz usually is created at one of two points, the ignition module, coil(s) or bad cap/rotor, or it can be from your voltage regulator in the alternator.

 

No real easy way to mask the interference, but try unplugging the alternator and running it, if no noise with the alt. unplugged you have an unshielded or bad regulator.

 

Start there, but look into a couple good line noise suppressors.

It is a 2004 Z-71 Suburban bought a month ago - I sure hope I don't have a bad alternator already :-)

I had the same problem after installing my Alpine deck and amp. I finally found out it was the RCA cables to the amp. I had Rockford Fosgate cables, which are suppose to be pretty good. Changed them to the top of the line circuit city ones, and no more noise.

I am using the factory amp and wiring though - new deck only - dropping it off either today or Wednesday and they are gonna take care of it. I'll post the results when I find out what what causing it.
