Got my password stolen

:D:mad::mad::mad: This crap makes me so mad. :mad::mad::mad::mad:

 

I was checking the status of my sent mail to see if somebody had read it yet, which I do very regularly, and someone had used my email to send around 15 emails to poeple I don't know, pretty much spam.

 

Just another reason I will never sign on to gayOL again. I don't see how it got stolen, cause I only get files from one person, and they are from their computer, not crap floating around on the interweb.

 

Now I have to change my password, and relearn the keys and stuff. And for the next month I'm going to put in the wrong password in every time I want to check my mail. :banghead::):D

Doubtful if it was purposely stolen. Many of the worms, viruses, etc., will raid e-mail client address files, store these in a database, then attach them to spam and rebroadcast them. No human is even involved, other than the one who wrote the program that does this.

 

This is called address spoofing and I'm sure we have ALL been spoofed at one time. For more details, just do some GOOGLE searching for "spoof". Here is one example:
