OnStar vs Amp

Recommended Posts

Posted

I was going to add a Bazooka Tube with a built in amp to my CC. Just a 6" to add a little bass in the back. A buddy asked me about the OnStar and what this extra "speaker" so to speak would do to the over all system.

You guys got any ideas?

Adding a Amp/Bazooka tube will not hurt OnStar...It's only when adding a new head unit that you really need to be concerned. :sigh:

Head unit? I know nothing about this stuff other then amps and speakers and the stereo it self. You lost me with head unit. Sorry.

My buddy said that I might have to install a seperate switch for the amp powered bazooka? So I could just turn it off when using OnStar>

Thanks

Head unit is the actual radio.

My 02 has two amps, and all aftermarket speakers. Still has stock radio/CD/tape deck.

Click here for an idea of what I've done.

All of that....Zero effect on OnStars performance.

:sigh:
