Bug shields

I'm looking for a decent smoke colored bug shield for my 03 Z71.

Some pics and thoughts on what anyone has would be great!

Thanks!

This is when I had a Lund Avenger on my truck. I didn't like it. It causeed a whistling noise when installed. It may have been a combination of the bug shield and the vent visors though, I don't know. I had the visors on before that bugshield. I did like the low profile look though.

Here's a AutoVentshade Bugflector II.

Ditto on the AutoVentShade Bugflector II. I like that it doesn't use tape, but rather existing holes in the hood. Also, that it sits far enough off the hood that it doesn't need bumpers, as well as providing room enough to clean behind it without removal. I did however notice that it does make a lot of noise with the windshield seal. I hear, however, that you can silicone the seal down and it goes away, just haven't done it yet. It was also the cheapest, came in the most colors, and was available in the store without special ordering.

:chevy: That about covers what I like/dislike about this shield.

But you will have to tape the windshield moulding down or she'll drive you nutty...

There is a "guide" on this if you look to your left.

I have a Wade Bugshield that sounds alot like the autoventshade one above. It mounted in existing holes in the hood, and seems to be real sturdy and quiet.

I do get the windshield noise sometimes though, I'm so lazy... I got the silicone, I've just yet to install it!!

Oh yeah, I got mine from www.truckexpressions.com. Good luck!

I have the Lund interceptor, which I really like. You do have to tape down the windshield moulding, though, or it causes a rattle at speeds over 70 and in high winds. I like the way it installs -- no tape, uses existing holes. I've had it for about 3 years -- it does look kind of older now since it's had bugs squashed on it a lot. Still like the look it gives to my front end and I like that it's "low profile," as they advertise.

I'm running the GM bugshield. Love it. No pics right now. I'll try and get some.

Do you notice any noise? It seems the recurring theme on the Ventshade part was noise.
