Avalanche Billet Grill

Recommended Posts

I just put on my new billet grill and I was a little "shocked" at the install. The grill simply "covers" the existing factory one and is anchored by a bolt/toggle system. Is this typical? I thought I'd be removing the stock and "filling" in the hole with the new billet.

This type of install also somewhat compromises the ease of getting to the hood release. I can still release the latch with my finger but it's very "crowded".

let me know any thoughts!

If this is totally lame I may return it!

Glad to hear you got your grille. Did you order it through TRENZ? Mine came in a plane white box , but has their logo on the grille itself. The quality is very good. I know what you mean about it going over the factory. I was surprised about that too. I have installed a ton of billet grilles and most require cutting and or trimming. They may have designed it that way to make it such an easy install. I bet it still looks good.

The compromising of space is normal with most grilles. (at least a little bit)

Did you use the rivets?Did you have to reshape it at all?

I bet you will get compliments on it and decide to keep it.

Hey Matt,

I had a buddy of mine who owns a shop in HB order it for me. I didn't use any rivets. The grill came with a toggle/bolt system to anchor it to the stock grill.

Mine also came in a plain white box, and the grill itself was protected by "shrink-wrap". It does look good!

I emailed you about your gas-cap cover yesterday. Can you hook me up with one?

Thanks

Brad,

I wonder if you did get a TRENZ grille. It doesnt sound like it. When i got mine they asked me what i thought about the install and i told them I didnt think the rivet was installer friendly.

Does your have welded thread bolts on the grille and come with wing nuts?

My gascap was a sample for SEMA. We will be selling similar ones very soon. I looked and they are out-of -stock at the moment.

Email me in a couple of weeks(because i may forget) and I will check again.

Is the shop 4wheeler supply in HB?
