Tips on relacing door pins and bushings

Well I have been putting it off for too long, the girlfriends blazer is in desperate need (before the door falls off ) of new bushings and pins in the door. The shop wants $200 to replace them. That sounds like a lot to me. But I have never done this before and am looking for tips and/or things to watch out for. I don't think it's bad enough to have to go oversized. Thanks for the advice

  Thrust bearing issues. It’s actually well documented and there have been some failures with very minimal miles. I still think it’s a safer option than the 6.2 though. The Turbomax actually has the least amount of issues.

  Mine suprised me the other day and did it. It`s hot down here now. It only did it once. But, it will usually do it after sitting overnight in the colder weather. Never usually does it in the warmer weather.

  Have to go with the Chevy dash this time. GMC in my fav in the current trucks but the 2027 GMC has a hideous dash.

  MJM 1957 Thank you for your reply ! How often does the oil pump need to be primed .? So far I only notice this noise when the truck has been sitting overnight . Is there a length of time the truck sits before it will make that noise and do the prime again ?

  What issues are the 3.0 diesel facing? When I bought mine all my research showed the diesel was the engine most likely to be worry-free, if you use the right oil and only use top tier gas.
