it the g 80 locker different on a 3/4 ton than a 1/2 ton is it stronger?

Depends....What kind of 3/4 ton is it? Is it a 14 bolt rear-end?

It sure is different as has a different ring gear. My G80 has a 11.5" gear on it.

I think the only major difference is size of the case, the bigger it is the stronger it is, but I'm pretty sure the operation is the same...but I could be wrong..all I know for sure is that I have a 14bolt, 9 1/2 in w/a G80 that works pretty darn good for my uses
