Newbie/ Hesitation stall

I am new to this forum. I have a 2001 silv ext cab 4.3 .It is hesitating, stalling intermitinley The 1st 2 times it was after fill up and dri gas cleared it up. Now it comes and goes. The gas gage is erattic I have read about fuel pump and pressure regulator problems. Where is the pressure regulator. Any help is greatly appreciated
