3.42 parts in positraction

I broke a gear for the axle shaft in my G80 positraction rear end and I was wondering if my 10 bolt 3.42 rear end work for parts. They look real similar. Will I run into any problems. If so I'll just swap rearends and if the gears are different, I'll swap front axles too. Can anyone help? I'm mechanically inclined but just want some input from you.

Make sure the spline counts are the same, they come in 28 and 30.
