CB Antanae

Mounting antanae on toolbox and I guess I'll run the cable along frame to firewall is there a place to sneak in or is it time to start drilling ? Wondering if anyone found a little nook where you could sneak it thru. THANKS

You could sneak it in where the parking brake goes into the cab under the driver's side door.  I ran in some wire for some emergency flashers in there.

I've run the antenna cable through the drain plug on the floor of the cab.  I have an ext cab and it was located under the back seat on the passenger side.  I just pushed the plug up a bit and ran the cable through.

there's also a drain plug on the driver's side, so take your pick.  you can run the wire through the plug, under the carpet and from there, the sky's the limit.  

where are you planning on putting the CB?

I came up thru the drivers side and worked pretty good. Mounted the cb sideways on the center console only thing is sometimes my legs hits it but not to often

i had toyed with putting it on the console on the passenger side because there's a "little" more room on that side and driver comfort is more important to me than passenger comfort.  

got a jeep right before i drilled the holes and figured it'd be better used in that rather than my truck.

The best spot that I found was to go right in between the cab and bed, on both sides there are "air vents" which measure about 3"x6" and you can easily snake the wire through.  Out of sight and out of mind.
