where to find filtered 12v power

just installed an icelink kit in my 03 silverado. basically it connects my ipod mini to my bose stereo through the 12 pin connection on the back of the head unit. everything works great except for a high pitched whine that i can hear that goes up and down with engine speed. i hooked the 12 volt constant lead up to a constant power source in the fuse box. wondering if there is a wire near the back of the head unit i could use instead to get rid of the whine, maybe in the 24 pin harness.

Get a test light or multimeter and prob for it. Usually it's the orange wire that is slightly larger gauge than the rest. Black is ground.
