What is this...

The product description isn't clear at all about exactly what it does or exactly where it goes.

From a product FAQ I found on the intar-web, they address two issues that may be a clue:

I have trouble locating IAT sensor. Can you help?

and

My vehicle is equipped with MAF (Mass air flow sensor) and I see more than 2 wires. What should I do?

If these questions come up often enough for someone to write a faq addressing them, then it's not unreasonable to think that the product affects these two systems.

So, what sort of "cheap power adder" would deal with IAT and MAF sensors? My guess is resistors that fool the IAT/MAF into thinking that the air temperature is colder or that there is more air coming in than reality, thereby encouraging more fuel to be dumped in.

For what it's worth, the seller has elected to keep all the text of his feedback private.

It's also interesting that the module for the Chevy SSR, Pontiac Vibe, Toyota Echo, 89-92 Nissan Sentra (I owned one of these...), Buick Century, and EVERY application gets EXACTLY the same 22HP boost from the product.

Really, how likely is it that a device will achieve the same 22hp (or >25%) power boost on a '90 Nissan (the same number for model year and flywheel HP) as it does on a Chevy SSR?

Stay Away.

Unless its performance benefits stack with the Tornado and the Fuel Line Atomizer/Polarizer whatzit. Then maybe buy two.

sound cool like those ricer cars

Maybe you could get a similar sound by removing one of your after-cat O2 sensors (assuming you have two cats) thereby getting that highly regarded, much feared "vacuum cleaner on steroids" sound out of 4 of your eight cylinders. In the event that you don't have dual cats, maybe you could just drill a medium size hole in one of the pipes between the manifold collector to the y-pipe.

Don't forget to wrap a Maxwell House can with foil tape and attach it to the end of your exhaust tip, add V-Tech Type-R badging to your tailgate, and a big honking wing over the non-drive wheels!!

As ridiculous as the adhesive accessories are, they probably add more value to the vehicle than the Z1PerformanceModuleKit22Hp because at least the aforementioned crap can be seen by other people who may think it's cool. The Secret-Ninja Z1PerformanceModuleKit22Hp appears to be an under-hood accessory, consequently only the owner of the vehicle in which it is installed will know how cool they are.

Of course, maybe it's better if those around you don't know how "cool" you are...

Hey they can cut a small hole in the hood and mount that Secret-Ninja Z1PerformanceModuleKit22Hp right to the hood for all to see and run the wires through the hole. :jester::thumbs::cool:

scam dude. I fell for one of these scams before some transistor that supposedly gave me more horse power but it never did s**t. I would have been better off with a intake.

did anyone else notice the dyno results? whatever he had this connected to shut down at 6700 rpm before and 7200 rpm after install. I highly doubt that it was connected to a late model GM product or you could have heard the BOOM from almost anywhere.
