New Keys

I only have one key for my 2000 Sierra.

 

I have a key fob which presumably sets an alarm.

 

Can I get a replacement key made at any hardware store, or do I need something special from GM? My key doesn't have a chip on it, but I don't know what might be under the plastic "handle".
