What to do w/ the blank?

:stupid: Okay, I'm having a hard time remembering what to call that "console" that is in the roof of the '99+ Silverado, but I want to put something cool in that blank that I think is for the heat controls in the Suburban. Anyone know what I am talking about?  ???

 

I am having a major brain fart right now, and can't remember what to call it. It is where the 2 map lights are.  :blush:

 

I was thinking about trying to put a radar detector there, but I doubt I could mount it to where it could "see" ahead. I know a cb would be too big because of the depth, and the only other thing I could think of would be to mount a bowtie emblem of some sort, or a Z-71 emblem. If I upgrade the sound system, I could maybe out some sort of EQ in there.

 

Any other idea'rs? I have looked at most of the trucks that everyone has, but I am sure I am missing some.

i have a Z71 emblem there.

 

Someone i know added one of those things that shows how level your truck is.  Like if you go offroading.  Think they are $20 from PP.  Ill look for a pic

Thanks for the number Ryan. But you stole my idea already. LOL! I was going to put one on my tailgate just where you got yours. Guess if you don't come to Florida, it won't matter that we have the same emblems. Ha! Ha!

Ive had that on my truck there for about a yr

 

I only added the one in the cab cause i had an extra one and didnt know where to put it.  Someone online had it there and my gf seen it and said it would look nice there so i added it

OK, you "borrowed" it then. LOL!

 

I've been to your web site, looking at your truck pics, but I never even noticed the emblem on the tailgate before. I just went there and checked. You're right, you had it first. Didn't mean to call you a "thief", especially since you braved the cold and snow to get me that part #.

Good idea, but with all the "hilly" terrain in south Florida, I doubt that I will ever get it to read anything but level. Ha!

 

Actually, I had thought a vacuum gauge and fuel psi gauge would go nicely there (or some other combo of 2" gauges).
