HOLY CRAP. I figured I was the only one! Im on a Windows XP mission right now too.. Actually my second time around today. I hate installing windows!

Im just glad to be done. This OLD computer is only being used for file storage until I can get the parts for it I want.

Looks good to me. You should have them throw in an X800. I think they are made in PCI Express. I just rebuilt my machine a few weeks ago. Went with a P4 3.0C HT(3.69mhz on air), 1GB OCZ Dual channel, 2 WD's on SATA, ATI Radeon 9700Pro. I didnt have alot of cash left to spend on a video card so I was out of luck on the X800. Serial ATA is the only way to fly is you ask me.

You should install Windows XP SP2. I have had it installed for two week and my PC is running the best it has ever. It will be out next mouth thru Wintows Update, but you can download it HERE now. Good Luck..

Yea I was looking at the x800 along with some other extra goodies, but I was right at my alotted cash so they will have to hold.

 

Serial ATA is the only way to fly is you ask me.

Be VERY careful with XP SP2. MS has admitted that it doesn't work with all apps., including some MS apps.

Well, from what I have read. The program compatability issue is due to most ports being blocked by the ICF. Just open the ports and it looks like all is well. I have not run into any problems with any programs or games on my computer.
