99-00 Silverado/Sierra Repair Manual

Well, it's been a long search, but I finally found a repair manual for my truck. After looking at the price that chevy wanted me to shell out for one, ?.00, I said that they've got to be crazy. So, I set out in search of a Chilton manual. When one couldn't be found I manged to find a Haynes repair manual. It was only ?.95 plus shipping. When compared to the 125 that chevy wanted I figured that I couldn't pass up a deal like that. So, hopefully by the start of next week I'll have a manual for my truck. If anyone is looking for one I'll give you the # of the place where I got it from.

The Haynes manual number is 24066 and covers 99-00 Silverado and Sierra, the cost of the manual is 12.95 and with shipping (UPS ground 3 day) came to 18 something. http://www.accessconnect.com/ here's the site and the phone number for ordering is 1-888-425-2885

I've been checking my pepboys here about once a week. Don't know if they can keep them in stock, or if they're just idiots, but they never have them. Pisses me off!

I thought Chevy sold the Helm manuals. I bought mine from Chevy and it's a Helm. I love it. That thing is so full of info, it's crazy.

Now, if I can just get my hands on the software the dealership uses.......hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

chevy sells a manual, not sure which one, but for 120 bucks it's not the right one.

I just got my repair manual via UPS about an hour ago. I haven't gotten a chance to page through it yet, but hopefully I will later tonight. So, if anyone has any technical questions I'd be glad to help.
