Wheel issues

I have a 2003 2500HD Crew Cab with the optional alloy wheels. The truck has 9000mi and the wheels have corrosion at all the valve stems and down inside the lip of all the holes, and also have noticed a few spots in the middle of a flat surfce on the rims.

 

It appears that the clear coat is delaminating and allowing the elements to attack the aluminum?

 

Has anyone had an issue with these wheels??? Is this a warranty issue???

 

PS No wheelcleaner ever used or harsh cleaners..or metal brushes etc.....another words nothing I have done contributed to it. Dealer hasn't seen it yet but says this is not a common thing?

That should be a warranty issue, you should adress that concern with the dealer. I have seen some alloy wheels corrode and discolor, luckily mine aren't too bad.

Yes, this will be a warranty claim. If the dealer gives you any crap about it, go up a level and contact GM. They will fix the problem for you.
