Xcelerator muffler

I had an Xcelerator muffler put on my 8.1 truck. It is 24" long and is a dual 3" in and a single 3" out. Mine was bumped to 3 1/4" on the outlet to accomodate my factory tailpipe (which needed some minor mods). I have had several exhausts done on my previous Chevys, and this seems to be the only one that did not reduce low-end power. Perhaps it is due to the size of the engine, all my other trucks have been factory small-blocks. I had it done at Tuffy muffler shop here in town. The manager there is my best friend and charges me no labor. He also cut me a slight deal on the muffler which was $192 out the door. The sound is DEEP yet not at all obnoxious. My only gripe is the slight boominess that occurs between 17-1800 rpm's. That translates to 60-65 mph in overdrive.
