the 2001 and 2002 were AWESOME - when one was driving straight at you it looked so mean. the 2003 and 2004 lost all the distinction and just became way to PLAIN.

01-02 loved those front ends.

If they had squared up the rest of the truck to match the 03-04 front ends they would look good, the 05's would look even sweeter. Though as it stands right now you have a square front end, and the rest of the truck is rounded. The 01-02 just flowed with the rest of the truck and made the truck just look big and tough. The Avalanche front end is just a quick, cheap attempt by GM to differientiate the Chevys from GMC's and match the Silverados to all the other Chevy models. Look at the new Colorados, the whole truck is squared up and it looks bitching.

Personally I think the 01-02s are the best looking trucks Chevy ever produced. The 05s look decent and I believe it's a step in the right direction. I personally think the GMC's need a raised hood also, and I hope they do that for next year. Anyone hear anything regarding that?
