Help With New Project

I currently have a 98 5.7 Vortec, and am thinking about buying a 383 Stroker kit. Not really sure what all i should be looking for...Its a daily driver but would like to get good performance out of it...Was looking for kits on ebay, and there seemed to be some good buys, just didnt know enough about them to bid. Also looking into a new camshaft, what would be a good buy? Thanks in advance
