Installing Fog Lamps

I'm looking to install factory fog lamps in my '03 Silverado that didn't come with them. I found some on eBay for about $120 a set with the wiring harness and switch. I'd also like to have total control of it's use instead of only being able to use them with lo beam only. Has anyone done this retrofit and how difficult is it?

They're easy to install, don't even have to have the computer reprogrammed like on the 99-02's. R&D used to sell a controller to keep the fogs on, but I guess they are out of business now.

Is that right, you do not have to have the computer reprogrammed on 03-04 Silverado's. I did not know that. I had a 01 GMc and had to have the dealer install because of that. How are they wired?

I installed them myself on my '04...easy and worked instantly...no programming required.

Very easy instructions that tell you exactly what to do and how to do it...I WOULD NOT pay a mechanic to install as it's very easy and about an hours worth of work at the most.

I too bought from eBay and installed them myself easy!!! The wires on my 04 Sierra were already there, just cut the holes in the air dam, mount the brackets, change the switch in the dash, plug in the relay and done. About a hour to do since I am kinda anal about my truck.
