Is there any way to add a prox and or a impact sensor to the factory alarm??? I hate the key fobs so I just use my key. When I lock the door from the inside or with the key from the outside the factory alarm is activated And is deactivated when I unlock the door using my key. Thats what I want but with more security. Any ideas or am asking fo to much??

I'm no expert but if you could figure out what wires to hook an aftermarket impact sensor to I think it would work, at least I don't see why it couldn't be done. I might look into this at home, I've got an impact sensor just layin' around...

Hey thanks asilverblazer I would appreciate it. I don't see why they don't have one from factory. An alarm upon door opening is pretty weak. I wish I was electrically inclined.

Yes they do make an add-on alarm but I don't know about for the 2004. I have a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe and I added a GM VSC3400 to the factory keyless entry system. It is very simple to install. The alarm box plugs inline with the keyless entry box. The alarm included all wiring harnesses, a shock sensor, valet switch, and siren and uses the factory key fobs. I've had it installed for about a year and a half now with no problems.

I am a Nissan tech. We install a generic "shock sensor" made by automate. it basicalle fools the brain and interrupts it when it senses shock. making the alarm think a door was opened. It works totally bitchen and turns that factory alarm into a bad ass alarm. Find automate and check out their shock sensor or find a similar company.. im sure they all make them.
