What were they thinking?

My 2500HD is a spring over, just like I would want. But chevy went and put the U bolts on nuts down so they drag in the mud. I went to the local medium duty spring shop and had a new set bent for me. Bought a piece of 3/8ths bar stock, dirlled some hole and put the u bolts on 'U' side down and nuts side up.

Also see those shock mounts? Why do they hang down about 4 inches? Anyone ever cut these guys off and welded them back on higher? Not all rocks are 4 feet wide, so sometimes you can pass them just off center.

Yea they are all like that. 1500's also.

stupid idea to put them down like that but oh well.

I also have flipped mine up the way they should be.
