Getting harder to shift out of park

I have been finding it harder and harder to shift out of park as the weather is getting colder. I have to really yank to get it out in the morning anymore. It appears to be getting worse as the temperature is dropping or maybe it's just coincidence. After it warms up it is fine. Anyone else??

Nope, parked in the flat garage. I always use the parking brake, been burned before. I always let the truck warm up for 2 minutes. It only shifts hard the first time, I can stop and put it in and out of park fine after it warms up. I guess I could try putting it immediately back in park and see if it comes out hard again before I move. I love my truck but my only real complaint is the transmission, It shifts crappy and never consistently, I end up driving in 3rd most of the time since I am mostly on back roads.

If I remember, the computer is programmed to shift the transmission a bit firmer when its colder outside until it reaches operating temperature. Not sure why its hard to shift out of park. Sounds like your park paw may be sticking.

If they haven't changed the Shift - Brake interlock from the older style, i think it can be adjusted. My 97 refuses to shift at all out of park when its really cold (think -15 or colder), i have to let it run a few minutes first, dont know why that works, heater aint blowing warm air after 4-5 minutes of idle thats for sure. Take it to the dealer and have them look at the interlock, sounds like thats the problem.
