intermittent start problem

My '99 Tahoe at 102,000 miles is having an intermittent start problem. :(

It cranks, but won't stay engaged. The no starts have been mainly occurring the morning after it has been driven in the rain. By midday it starts without any problem. Now that the weather has begun to get colder, the no start has become more frequent. I took it to the dealer and a code for the anti-theft came up. They changed out the ignition lock cylinder, but it didn't fix anything. The dealer seems to think the problem lies somewhere in the passlock system. Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks.

Have them check the fuel pressure. Mine began not starting a week ago and ended up having to change out the fuel pump.

Same type of deal with mine not starting on the first attempt, but then let off the key and try again and she'd fire right up. Pump replacement solved it.

He has the passlock problem. There is a TSB from Chevy. I just had it done, but I still have a problem. The tsb states that there is either a wire coming apart in the casing, or the plug under the steering wheel is not making connection. I had a large event today at work, and during set-up, I parked in the way, then it would not start when I needed to move it. I had to get a bunch of techs and detailers to help push it out of the way. To reset the computer, I removed the battery cable for ten minutes to clear the computer and it finailly started. This methid does not always work. I have the TSB number at work, PM me and I will send you the number. At this point, I am thinking about bypassing the entire anti theft system.
