fuel pump connector

I know it can't be too hard! Fuel pump died on my 97 k1500 Sub with the 5.7 engine. Purchased a new pump, dropping the fuel tank and cant get the dang electrical connector loose. Dont want to break it! Whats the secret? The fuel lines came loose easy enough, this must be my penalty for that!

Help please!

The fuel lines need a tool to remove them. I do not remember the plug though.

Boy do I feel like and idiot. I was prying away on the connector on the fuel tank, the darn harness has a weather pak connector about 18 inches away hidden behind the crossmember. Didnt find that until I tore the one on the top of the fuel pump assembly apart. I was able to get the connector back together and sealed. The new fuel pump works like a charm, but its almost as loud as the old one! Well, win some lose some, at least it pumps!

Except for vibration carried along the attached hardware, maybe shock-mounting it and covering it with water pipe insulation will quiet it down...?
