Suspension lift ?

I have a question for those of you with 2500HDs with the 6.0L engine/4.10 gears. I am trying to convince my self that I would get better gas mileage with a lift! Since we have the 4.10 gears, putting bigger tires (35") would essentially lower the ratio from 4.10 to ~3.73 which would lower the RPMs giving me better mileage! I know that usually this is not the case because the engine has to work harder to turn the bigger/heavier tires, but with my particular set up (6.0L w/ 4.10 gears), it doesn't have to work that much harder.

Help me out guys, what do yall think? :(

Well it might help if you spend most of your time on the hwy. Like 70 to 80% hwy.

Plus I do belive you will be much MUCH less aerodynamic. And that will hurt you on the hwy. So I don't think your gonna gain anything. But It sure will look cool :(

My mileage went up alot. I was getting 8-9 c and 11-12 h with stock pcm and 33's now I get 10-11 c and 14-15 H with 35"'s and westers 93 hot tune. For some reason the mileage got worse with the 33's and the hot tune.

Around town it will get worse, it takes more pedal to get rolling all the time, but the highway you will gain mpg. I know because I have 4.10's and 37" tires.
