Can anyone give info on the current size of the blocks for the rear on 04 Sierra Z71? I am getting the Ford keys for the front and would also like to know from someone with experience what size blocks should i use to bring up the rear to match the front, so I dont have that saggin look.

I haved searched already but couldnt find anything specific to what im asking, so any info is appreciated.

Thanks

Your current blocks are 2" height. Many have lifted the front using ford keys, or torsion crank, and installed 3" blocks in the rear. I personally don't feel you should lift the front more than 1.5 inches, or else your CV angles will be too steep (w/o compensating with a front differential drop). If you wish to lift the rear via blocks, of course you'll need new longer U-bolts. Although it's tempting, you're probably aware that it's not recommended to stack blocks to accomplish the block lift.

FYI... '94-'02 1/2 ton Dodge Rams used 3" rear blocks from the factory, so you can possibly find a set for cheap from a junk yard, or from someone that has lifted a Ram (Ebay, etc). I picked up a set of Ram blocks, but haven't installed them yet, so I can't say for sure they will work/fit properly w/ the GM axle. Looks like they should work though.

Good luck!

You could also "add a leaf" or install new (taller) leaf springs.

Keep in mind, you'll also need longer shocks. If you've already done the front, you should actually put them on now...It will soften that front end right up. :D
