Headlamp swap

Ok guys, I've got another question for ya.  As most of you probably know, the 88-89 GM trucks had 4 seperate headlamps.  In 90 they changed over to a single lamp on each side with two seperate bulbs in each lamp.

My question is, can the headlamp from the 90 and up trucks be swaped to my 89?  I do not like the type of lights my truck has at all, as they are always getting water into the light and have to be replaced alot.  This newer style seems much better.  Me and my dad where looking at his 94 compared to mine, and it appears that the lamp could simply be changed out, without major modifications.  So are we overlooking something, or is this not a hard thing to do?

Kyle, I think I remember seeing conversion kits for that, so it may not be  just a simple swap type thing.  I don't know for sure though.  If I can find any more info, I'll let you know.  Unless someone else tells you first.

Ok,

You'll need the newer style lights as well as the plugs for the composite lights.

All you have to do is remove the grill, remove the lights and clip the plugs for the sealed beams.

Then splice on the composite plug ends( make sure to get the high and low beams on the right set of wires), install the new light housings and replace the grill.

Simple as that!

Lickity Split!
