4x4 problem

Well, had the first snow fall of the year today so I thought i'd have alittle fun and test out the BFGs in snow. I haven't used my 4x4 in awhile and when I went to put the truck into 4hi it wouldn't go! so I pushed the lever forward to engauge 4lo, the light came on and 4 lo worked fine. Im hopeing that i only need to adjust the cable, does this sound right? Thanks

Could be a linkage adjustment, or a bad switch not sending power to the front axle actuator....just a guess
