CD player delete storage on dash. Need part number

Howdy, I';m looking for the GM part number ( or if anyone has a mint condition one or better idea what to do there ) for the CD player delete hole under the heater controls. I have a 1998 1500 and it came with the factory cassette and under the heater controls was a CD player unit. Well I put a new head unit it ( Cd player) and took out the old stand alone CD player unit. Looking for the storage pocket that goes there so I can order one from GM. Anyone know the GM part number or know of anything better for that space? Thanks!

I think that Scosche makes something like that that's fairly cheap. http://www.scosche.com/ You could also check out www.crutchfield.com, or swing by BestBuy or Circuit City and talk to someone in their mobile installation dept, they might even have it in stock

I just asked about that box, was told the part number was 15958735. It's $9.53 + $7.95 S&H from gmpartsdirect.com and $10.96 at partszoneonline.com.

You could put one of the small Radio Shack CB's in there. Fits perfect. From what I'm told.

Hellllllzzzz yes!!! Bring it on! I'm there! The only day that is not good for me is Sunday's. I usually work but If I know the date in advance ( if your planing a Sunday ) I can get off sometimes! But yea! That would be awesome!

Thanks kirkRHughes! I went with the GM insert and ordered it from GMpartsdirect.com and it came today. Snaps right in and looks great! Now I don't have a hole in my dash! budhayes3: thanks for your tip as well. I did'nt see anything on those sites that "did it for me" so I went GM! I did think about the CB but living in the city just something else for someone to peek in and see and try to steal! Besides I have a nice Cobra 29LTD I think I'll mount somewhere that I can take it in and out easy with a magnet mount K40 or something That will be the next project! Thanks again guys just wanted to let you know that GM is correct and fits like a glovE!
