I currently have 265/75R16's on my 2001 HD2500. It is a 6.0L. I am going to go to a 305/70R16 tire this weekend. I will also be putting on new 16"x8" wheels. Does anyone run this configuration? What mod's were made to accomadate this wheel and tire combo? Can I get away with 305's as it is stock, or would I need to crank the T-Bars??? Anyone with picks of 285's or 305's would be appreciated! Thanks Everyone! :seeya:

My friend has 305's on his GMC, that managed to fit but he ended up cranking his T-bars a good 2 inches to make the truck look high, if your gonna swap tires and rims i would suggest to recalibrate your speedometer cause your stock speedometer can handle 265's and probably 285's if not w/aftermarket rims. So update your speedo when you swap tire's and rims and if you think the tires make the truck a little low between the gap of your fender wells then cranks your t-bars a good 2 inch, and take some pics! :seeya:

I have 305's on my 03' HD Duramax. They are on 16x8 wheels with 3 1/2" back spacing. To fit them I had to crank the t-bars all the way up to level the front. They still rub a bit when I turn hard into a driveway, but doesn't damage tire or truck.Rubs a little worse when they are aired down off road but still no damage. It changed my speedo by about 4 mph at 65 but I recalibrated it with a Hypertech.

These were the dealer installed wheels that came on my truck (which I asked them to promplty remove) :seeya: The tires were Nitto Terra Grappler in 285/75/R16 I believe...

What have you done to allow the 17" wheels and tires to fit? Did you install a body or suspension lift? The truck looks really good!!!

Have just installed 285's on the stock alum wheels on my '05 2500 HD 4X4. Had to turn the bar's up to level it. had to align front, camber WAY off...Now to deal with speedo re-calibrate..........Ride is great................
