Need Help with my 2000 YUKON

Hello all, this is my first post here. Seems like a great place.

Well where do i start?

Is is true the YUkons are prone to Fuel pump failure? My 2000 Yukons gas gauge has been acting up- it will pin to "E" when there is fuel in the tank, then after a bit returns to normal.

One more question, My Yukon came with factory foglights, but the bums that owned it before put these cheesey after market foglight assemblies in the front bumper. I ordered the factory folights that fit nice and flush in the bumper...only thing is, it didnt come with any mounting parts at all, just the housing..any ideas where or how to go about getting these installed?

Thanks

I have a 2000 Yukon XL and I also have the fuel gauge problem. It seems to only do it after I fill up, then it will be good for a while then screw up again. Then after about 10 miles it works fine until I fill it up again.

I have replaced a fog light on my Sierra, and it did come with the mounting hardware. Before I got the right replacement, I did make the mistake of assuming that the GMC and Chevy fog lights were identical. They are not. Each has a different mounting bracket. But, I did pick up my assembly at a local dealer. As far as the fuel gauge, my truck began doing the same thing about 1 year ago. My friend has a 2000 chevy z71 and has noticed the same thing. I have yet to notice any adverse performance, though.

Does anyone know the correct P/N for a fog lamp housing (left side) for a 2000 GMC Yukon? I put in the sylvania 893 bulb (instead of the 880 that it came with) and it melted part of the inner housing. So, I need to replace it.

Also, does anyone know what the deal is with these new Sylvania Silverstar fog lamps that are supposed to be coming out in April?
