Any catback or header products for us V8 guys?

This is silly. I've checked out Tybrne and some other tuner people and it doesn't seem ANYBODY makes a catback exhaust for our trucks? What gives? I have a Rainer with the 5.3 and am dying to put on a Corsa or some other catback that is not TOO loud. Anybody have any luck taking an exhaust for a 1500 pickup and making it work?

Same thing with headers. Was hoping the "other guys headers" may have an application specifically for us, but to no avail. Anything out there?

Well doesn't look like there is anything out there specifically made to fit our trucks. So I decided to call "The Other Guys Headers" out in CA and told them about my situation. After talking to them for several minutes about how we didn't have anything that specifically fits our Envoy/Trailblazer/Rainer they offered to send me a set of coated headers at no initial cost (well I had to pay shipping $35.00) to see if they would fit. I will let you guys know if the headers fit and how much grinding/fitment problems we encounter.

There's an AWD dyno not too far from my home so I will baseline the truck first.

Should the headers fit I will redyno the truck and post the results.

Then if all goes according to plan I will do a catback with corresponding dyno results.

I also purchased an HPTuner. Once I figure out this tuning stuff and upload a good program into the Rainer I will redyno.

I will keep you guys posted.

Wish I had a V8

Westers has a tune for the Rainier 5.3. Items that fit the '04 Chevy SSR should fit your vehicle with a minimium of problems.

Thanks for the lead on the SSR Envoy Fan. I called up Dynatech (in case the TOG's don't fit) who makes the SUPERMAXX headers with cats product. They told me they would start shipping the headers mid FEB. Unfortunately for us they currently have no plans on test fitting Trailblazers/Rainers/Envoys V8's with their new SSR setup. I told them I would ship my truck out to them to test fit. I'm still waiting to hear back from them.

Apparantly the GMT360 frame is chopped off several inches from in front of the wheels on the SSR platform. This may pose a problem with fitting their SSR headers on the Rainer.
