CB Install Ideas

Please let me know your thoughts and solutions for installing a CB into a 2003 Chevrolet LT 2500HD Silverado CC SB. I pull a fifthwheel trailer and will use the CB ocassionally while towing.

Recommended brand/model of CB.

Location for the installed CB.

Antenna solution ideas.

Pictures appreciated.

What about the pocket on the short overhead console. I've seen people mount an XM Commander there, I bet it's look real nice to mount a CB or Scanner there.

I mounted a Radio Shack model in my center console, where the CD/tape player usually is. It fits perfectly...as for the antenna, I am upgrading to a Firestik Firefly soon.

I have a Cobra 25 that I mounted just below the where the cigarette lighter is and run dual 4' firestik ant's that are mounted just behind the cab. I have been using Cobra's for years.
