pulling the DRL relay on 2K S-10...

i got a 2000 S-10 work truck (base model, very base ) and i want to disable the DRL's for good.

i know of the switch 3x trick but that gets old every time i go to drive it.

if i pull the relay in the relay/fuse box under the hood thats marked for DRL

will it also disable anything else like normal headlight operation, parking lights,

interior lights etc or just the DRL operation only? id try it now but my truck is

at the office parking garage for now. thanks..

At the very least, your left high beam won't work since power for that goes through the DRL relay. Low beams should be okay.

 

Jumping two of the terminals where the DRL relay plugs in should fix the left high beam problem. I don't have a schematic handy to tell you which two.

Try the procedure listed here. This works on ZR2's, not sure if it works on non-ZR2's...

Should work. They're eliminating the BCM's ability to turn on the relay, which turns on DRL's.
