My glove box wont open

i closed my glove box few days ago and now it wont open up!!! it doesnt take a key or any thing can some one help me by telling me how to open it back up without tear everything apart!!

Was there anything in the glove box that might have gotten stuck? Otherwise, I would beat it with a hammer until it opens or breaks.

Same thing has happened to me twice, only it was the center console that wouldnt open. I kept pushing the button, pulling, banging, and finally it opened. I then took my trusty silicon spray and lubed the catch/release mechanism, at least for now it is working great. I think it is just a poor alignment thing between the catch and the bracket it grabs.
