I have something called engine knock it supposedly is common on these trucks but I can figure it out anyone have any ideas?

Does it knock only when you start it, or ping under acceleration?

If it's the common CSK (Cold Start Knock), which is what most people mean when they're talking about engine *knock* with GM vehicles, it shouldn't affect performance. There also seems to be very little that can be done about it anyway, if that IS what you're experiencing.

 

Oh, almost forgot- NICE Typhoon. Haven't seen any of those in a while (or any of the Cyclones either, come to think of it). Looks to be in excellent condition too.

So is it running bad or just a noise so ya don't want to run it hard?

thanks again for the compliments the truck really is mint,the knock is there when you start it but it is very very light,you really only begin to hear it when you accelerate or get on it.believe me im boggled

how many miles are on it? Search for "seafoam" and try that. there may be carbon build up on the pistons. If not sometimes things just need gone thru. could be a wrist pin also. If it's bad enough I would pull it before breakin it.

im already a member of syty.net ive been getting info from there but im just

not satisfied I guess.hey fac is that a combo of ty and muscle truck in

one just paint it and it will be nice I have my web site here but I have

almost 65k on the truck.

Checked out your site nice pics. Again nice ride. I checked into the

typhoon body kit Went with a roll pan

and a east coast customs front cover. I still need a outlaw cowl

hood for the final effect (and wheels) but Alas mine is for sale.

Due to circumstances in my control I am selling a few toys and

gonna go asphalt racin. A legend car I think. Still decidin. A new

road course is supposed to be built this year so a camero sounds

like fun maybe a supra or an old 260z. Decisions decisions.
