juicy Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 well im about to hit 70,000 and well i need to know what i need to do to keep my truck running tip top shape.. oil + filter? change spark plugs? front and rear diff? fuel filter? engine flush? radiator flush? transfer case? tranny fluid + filter?
debo4x4 Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 i would have done most of the above already...but... your plugs are probably ok but it doesn't hurt to check them, some have them last over 100k, some not. i would not mess with flushing the engine unless you are having problems like a rough idle, poor mpg or loss of power. the coolant should also be good for 100k, but like all other prevenative mantainence, everyone has their own opinion on when to do what. do a search to see other opinions on what to do. the owners manual will give you their recommendations and you shouldn't have any problems if you follow that schedule.
99silveradoz71 Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 Pretty good list you compiled there. Perhaps take a look at the brake fluid and change that out.

dr9672723 Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 Fram filters had a good reputation in the past but not anymore. They are about the worst filter on the market today.
