70,000 mile maint

well im about to hit 70,000 and well i need to know what i need to do to keep my truck running tip top shape..

 

oil + filter?

change spark plugs?

front and rear diff?

fuel filter?

engine flush?

radiator flush?

transfer case?

tranny fluid + filter?

i would have done most of the above already...but...

 

your plugs are probably ok but it doesn't hurt to check them, some have them last over 100k, some not. i would not mess with flushing the engine unless you are having problems like a rough idle, poor mpg or loss of power. the coolant should also be good for 100k, but like all other prevenative mantainence, everyone has their own opinion on when to do what. do a search to see other opinions on what to do. the owners manual will give you their recommendations and you shouldn't have any problems if you follow that schedule.

Pretty good list you compiled there.  Perhaps take a look at the brake fluid and change that out.

if it was me, i would say yes to all of those except maybe the engine flush. if you have been using a good oil and changing regularly that shouldnt be needed imo.

as 99 sil said, brake fluid wouldnt be a bad idea either.

 

other posibilities:

air filter

power steering fluid

cabin air filter

spark plug wires

lube job (if not done wtih oil changes)

belts

well i use mobil 1 syn oil + fram filter

 

i guess ill get some coolant and distilled water for the rad..

 

any ideas on what i would need as far as spark plugs go?
