Anybody running 305s on a 88-98 K3500 SRW?

Got a set of 305/70/r16s I can put on my 95 K3500 SRW. Has anybody run those tires on the stock steel wheels? I have seen them on 1/2 ton trucks, but it looks to me like the front end is a little wider on this truck. Could be my imagination.

Anybody know if this will work?

I had a set of GY AT/S 305/70-16 on my 99 Z71 on stock wheels. They were standard load range though and were ALL OVER THE ROAD at anything above 70mph. It felt like you have 5psi in the tires. I nearly wrecked one day at about 85mph - changed lanes on the interstate and the truck started fishtailing and just kept getting worse. I took them off that day. I had them on it 2 weeks and took them off and put the wore-out stock 265/75-16 back on.

Did you have any clearance issues?

Not on the factory wheels. I added a 1" block in back (my truck sits low from the factory) and cranked the torsion bars (but not max). Thr truck looked pretty good with them, but it just didn't handle good for my style of driving.
