Hummer H2

I have heard and read almost everything from GM on the new launch of the H2. Does anyone have info from a solid source on actual delivery to dealers and a real price. I know GM is saying Mid-2002 and around 45K - 50K. I think the price will be higher but again I don't have any solid info.

From what I have seen it will be a sweet truck.

If the price is right I think the Z71 might be replaced by an H2!

Haven't heard anything yet, I'm sure you could pre-order one now though.  Are they available in a 2 door w/ a bed, or a 4 door w/a  bed model?  That's what I like about the original hummer, I'm not too big on the station wagon look, just my opinion though. The H2 does looks sweet, but nothing beats the original.

They will only be offering the 4 dr station wagon for the initial launch but they hope to expand to the 4 door p/u style in the coming yrs. There is NOTHING like the original H1, I agree, the down side is...have you sat in one? There is no room...or I should saw little room. Also if your going to purchase a truck at that price hopefully you would have a little more in it...creature comforts. However if $$$'s weren't an issue I would own a H1 and the H2 would not be an interest.

I guess if I was looking for pure off-road utility I'd get a military humvee, you can get a decent one for around 30 grand and a slant top model fully re-furbished for 50.  Plus, have you ever been in one of those.  You could have a party in there, they are huge.

In the military or civilian model? I was in a civilian...I thought I remembered the driver seat being cramped...the back I remember being huge. I did not think you could get an military I thought prior to sale they needed to kill them?? But I could be wrong.
