MadFish Posted November 2, 2001 Posted November 2, 2001 I noticed some of you guys have changed the air dam on your newer(99-02) trucks to one that has extra wholes in it and installed lights. Do they make one like that for 98 style trucks?
MountaineerTom Posted November 2, 2001 Posted November 2, 2001 The early 90's Sport models and the 454SS's had airdam that had rectangle shaped opening with lights in them. I'm not sure if they will fit the bottom of the '98 bumpers, but I would think they would. Looks like the same bumper to me. My '91 didn't come with the airdam with lights, so I bought the kit from stylin concepts. It came with everything, and looked pretty much stock. The lights were a little different. I went from this: To this:
chevy4x4trucks Posted November 2, 2001 Posted November 2, 2001 I think that w/ the pre 99 trucks the air dam is such a smooth surface that you would be better off bolting the lights to it or just trim it yourself. IMO that would be the easiest way. I'll look to see if there is a replacement PIAA Air Dam or something similar for it. But, I would say the best and cheapest route to go would be to make something yourself.
